Autumn Wreath Tutorial

I created my first ever wreath for our wedding beck in October 2013, I’ve always loved being creative. It also saves money, all of the craft bits I bought for this was enough to make three. They make great gifts, I am making one for both my mother and mother-in-law. But you could simply save the left over craft bits for next year. Below is a step by step guide of how I created my wreath and I hope it is clear for you to follow. If you have any questions or get stuck I am always available on Twitter or Instagram direct.

Gingerbread and Butter Pudding

October brings many comforting smells to the senses, leaves, apple, cinnamon, caramel. But one of the most comforting scents is gingerbread. That overwhelming level of ginger, subtle nutmeg, a hint of cloves, it’s all so warming. Pair that with brioche and well, stick a fork in me; because I am done.

So as we head in to my favourite month, I am here to enfold you in all of my favourite things. From this amazing pudding, to autumn wreath making, Halloween table setting, devouring mac and cheese or consuming an abundance of squash. Oh my gourd, its going to be amazing. See what I did there…

Autumnal Tablescape

Eating outside doesn’t have to stop now that we are heading in to autumn, I kind of prefer sitting out when it gets a little cooler. Hopefully, we aren’t quite over sunny evenings just yet albeit getting darker a little earlier. But that is the beauty of candles, a fire pit and resisting the cold bite just long enough until you desperately need a jumper.

It’s all pulled me away, but it has also got me super excited to blog again and I have so many ideas for my favourite season of all, Autumn. The season of comfort food, indulgent puddings, warming stews and soups. With some of my favourite ingredients coming in to season, I simply can’t wait to share all of the recipes I have created with you. I hope that through the dark nights and early mornings, you find comfort in my food and it perks you up or wraps you like a blanket.

So lets kick things off with this Banoffee Bread, a spin on my traditional Banana Bread, this has indulgent toffee sauce and lovely whipped cinnamon cream. Easy to make and with all that banana, surely it counts as one of your five a day? I really hope you like it.
