A Sophisticated Halloween Tablescape
Happy Friday the 13th, I thought today would be a great day to share this Halloween inspired tablescape. Halloween is one of my favourite times of year, but being a 31 year old it's less sweets more sophistication these days. This tablescape is so easy to achieve, some beautiful autumnal foliage, crepe paper, tissue paper and spooky napkins. The supermarkets and places like The Range have some amazing things in at the moment.
These pincushion flowers are so amazingly beautiful and such an amazing texture, that I couldn't not use them as a centrepiece on the crockery. Along with two different varieties of eucalyptus, fern leaves, fake pumpkins and fake black foliage.
If you're quick, great places like TK Maxx have actually started putting their Halloween stock in to the sale now, making way for all of their Christmas stuff. So you can pick up some great bargains, I got these spiderweb napkins for one pound. My table runner is a simple sheet of black crepe paper, the webbed runner was £1.50 from The Range. My place names are a spooky play on words written on a eucalyptus leaf and my cutlery is wrapped in tissue paper. My dinner set is from Tesco and cocktail glasses Ikea. I picked up my candlesticks and fake pumpkins from eBay, cheap as chips. Halloween isn't just for kids, you can have a grown up, sophisticated night too. Light the black flame candle, have a few cocktails and cast a spell over your guests.
